The Full Monty - February 27-March 7

Starring two-time Emmy Award-winning actress Sally Struthers* and Raleigh’s own Ira David Wood III

In addition to Sally Struthers & Ira David Wood III, NC Theatre's production is filled with a star-studded cast including:

• Jarrod Emick (Jerry) - Tony Award-winning actor for his portrayal of "Joe Hardy" in Damn Yankees. He's also been on Broadway in Ring of Fire, The Boy from Oz, The Rocky Horror Show, The Full Monty and Miss Saigon.
• Kingsley Leggs (Horse) - Broadway's The Color Purple and Miss Saigon and National Tours of Miss Saigon, Ragtime and It Ain't Nothing But The Blues. He also dazzled NC Theatre audiences in Dreamgirls as "James Thunder Early" in 2008.
• Julie Reiber (Georgie) - "Elphaba" standby in the smash-hit Broadway musical Wicked and also appeared in All Shook Up and Bklyn.
• Angie Schworer (Vicki) - Broadway's Young Frankenstein, The Producers, Chicago, Annie Get Your Gun, Sunset Boulevard, Crazy for You, The Will Rogers Follies and Encores! Tenderloin.
• Thomas Cannizzaro (Ethan) - Broadway's Spamalot and Cabaret and the National Tours of Cabaret, Grease and The Velveteen Rabbit.
• Joe Coots (Dave) - National Tour and regional productions of The Full Monty as "Dave," most recently starring Elaine Stritch.

All performances are in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.
 
There is great heart in The Full Monty as six unemployed Buffalo steelworkers come up with a bold way to make some quick cash. In the process they discover renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun. As the guys work through their fears, self-consciousness and anxieties, they find the strength as a group to overcome their inner demons. Nominated for nine Tony Awards, The Full Monty is a feel-good musical with a modern and delightfully wicked sensibility.
