De Ann S. Jones: Founder
DeAnn, Founder of The North Carolina Theatre, has played an important role in the education of children in the performing arts with the conception of NCT's Kids on Broadway program. She has been honored with the Raleigh Medal of Arts for Extraordinary Achievement in the Arts.


Lisa Grele Barrie
: President & CEO
Lisa joined NC Theatre as Development Director in 2003 and has championed a dynamic and successful philanthropic culture within the company in partnership with board and staff. Lisa graduated from Bucknell University and her marketing/communications/development experience includes advertising agencies in Boston, sales for The New Yorker Magazine, marketing at Talbots, heading up her own marketing communications consulting firm and development/communications for Gilda's Club Metro Detroit. She was promoted to Managing Director in 2008 and hired as President & CEO in 2009 after a nationwide search. Lisa feels grateful to have found her true calling at NC Theatre and takes great pride in engaging the board, staff and the greater Raleigh community in activities that advance the Theatre’s mission and vision. She passionately believes in the role of the performing arts to build community, harness creativity, and reaffirm the power of our collective human spirit.


Casey Hushion: Artistic Director

Casey is proud to be a part of North Carolina Theatre. She has had the pleasure of directing 15 shows for NCT including Phantom, Chess,The Wizard of Oz, The King and I and Jekyll and Hyde. Casey is the Assistant Director of In The Heights, winner of 4 Tony Awards including Best Musical, both on Broadway and the National Tour. She was the Assistant Director of the Broadway, West End and the National Tour productions of The Drowsy Chaperone, winner of five Tony Awards. Other Broadway credits include To Be or Not To Be (Manhattan Theatre Club) and Good Vibrations. Casey is currently the Associate Director of the Broadway workshop of ELF and recently worked as Associate Director of the new musical Minsky’s at the Ahmanson Theatre.

A graduate of New York University, Casey has worked at regional theatres such as North Shore Music Theatre, Papermill Playhouse, Casa Manana, Music Theatre of Wichita and Goodspeed Opera House, where she was also on staff as their New Works Scout. Active in the development of new musicals, she has directed for festivals such as the New York Music Theatre Festival and the National Alliance for Musical Theatre. With the Boston Pops, Casey has directed concert versions of Carousel and of A Little Night Music, starring Christine Ebersole. Up next, Casey is working on a reading of a new musical based on the film Bring It On, as well as working as Associate Director on Anyone Can Whistle at City Center Encores this spring.


Carolee Baxter: Producer
Carolee joined NCT in 1999, just in time for the first Kids on Broadway production, Godspell. She was hooked! In her current position she is involved with many aspects of theatre production and management which she says is as close to heaven on earth as you can get. She owes her love of musical theatre to her mom, Jacquie, and her sister, Candy, with whom she spent many hours singing show tunes. She holds an MS degree in communications from Florida State University and spent a glorious semester in London studying theatre. After years being employed in advertising and marketing, Carolee thanks the NCT Curtain Callers for being the path back to her dream job. Outside of NCT, Carolee is on the board of B3 Systems, Inc. and cheers on the ECU Pirates. Special thanks to NCT's development team for keeping non-profit theatre alive and to all the performers who put their hearts on the line at every audition.


Donna Gregory: Director, Marketing & Audience Development

Donna Gregory is the Director of Marketing and Audience Development for the North Carolina Theatre. Donna formerly served on the NC Theatre Board of Directors as a Vice Chair of Administration and member of the Development Committee. She was also a founding member of the NC Theatre Conservatory Parents’ Committee. Donna is a life-long arts supporter and minored in Theatre Arts in college. Donna comes to NC Theatre after a 9-year-run as president of Donna Gregory Communications, a full-service media communications company based in the Raleigh, NC area. At DGC, Donna worked with a diverse array of national and regional clients to develop corporate and crisis communications strategies and media relations plans. Prior to starting her company, Donna had a successful career as a national television news anchor and correspondent. She is a founding member of the Wake County Council on Fitness and Health, and is an active volunteer in the public school system. Gregory is married to video producer Gregg Hoerdemann. They live in Apex with their four children, a dog, a cat, and a fish.


Bill Yates, Jr.: Technical Director
Over the past 49 years Bill has worked in theatre, television and movies as an actor, director, stage manager, carpenter, electrician, head electrician, master carpenter and technical director. Bill has worked in scenic shops in New York, New Jersey, L.A. and Florida building such shows as Fences with James Earl Jones, The Rainmaker with Gary Sandy and Company with Patrick Cassidy and Carol Burnet. For television he has credit in 11 of 12 episodes of Tom Hanks’ HBO project From the Earth to the Moon. Bill also has film credits that include There’s Something About Mary, The Truman Show, Instinct, Waterboy and Mortal Combat. As Technical Director Bill has spent two seasons with Nightlife Theatre in New Jersey, three seasons with Long Beach CLO in California., five seasons with Carolina Ballet here in Raleigh. “My greatest hope for the future is to finish my career here at NCT with some of the finest and brightest people it has been my privilege to work with. I also would like to thank my three kids Liam, Collin and Riley and my wife Holly for putting up with my shenanigans al these years.”


Tricia McCoy: Business Manager
Tricia has been the Business Manager with NCT since January 2005. Prior to coming to NCT, she worked for Jupiter Entertainment, Inc., a television production company, in Knoxville, TN. While at Jupiter Entertainment, she served as the director of finance and was there for 7 years. At the theatre, Tricia is responsible for maintaining all financial records and preparing financial reports and budgets for the Board of Directors. She also prepares payroll tax returns for all NCT employees, reconciles daily box office receipts and maintains liability and health insurance for the theatre. In her spare time, Tricia likes to read, spend time with family and friends and take walks on the beach.


Donna Mullins: Box Office/Subscription Manager
Donna has a BS degree in communications from Wingate University with a double emphasis in speech communications and public relations. She joined NCT in 1994 and has held a myriad of positions. She loves working with the season ticket holders and her NCT family. In her spare time, she enjoys being with family, friends, and being involved at her church.


Kristin Buie: Communications/Company Manager

Kristin joined NCT in 2007 after graduating from North Carolina State University (Go Pack!) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and public relations. At the theatre, Kristin maintains all media relationships, serves as liaison with show stars, handles social media, and other fun things. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, boating, sunny weather and spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their pug, Phoebe.


Alice Beck:
Sales & Marketing Analyst
Alice is originally from the Triangle area, having grown up in Apex. Alice worked at the Alltel Pavilion box office prior to coming to NCT. Alice worked for NCT three months before going back to Alltel. However, when Alice got the opportunity to come back to NCT full time as box office assistant manager in January 2005, she just couldn't resist. She has recently taken on some new responsibilities at NCT as the office manager but will continue to assist the box office with taking and pulling ticket orders.
Nena Pardue: Audience Development Manager
Nena hails from the mountains of North Carolina, but has lived in Raleigh since 2005. She has five years sales experience in the fields of real estate and telemarketing and most recently was Sales & Marketing Manager at Team Tech Solutions where she planned calling campaigns for various clients and trained and supervised up to 120 calling agents. In the newly-created role of Audience Development Manager, Nena will supervise the call center while expanding her duties into other sales areas such as advertising and group sales. An arts lover and trained classical dancer, Nena is excited to be representing a nonprofit performing arts group and has many creative ideas of engaging new audience members.

Kristina Andrews: Arts Administration Associate
Kristina is delighted to be joining the NCT staff after recently graduating from Wagner College in May 2009 with a B.S. in Arts Administration. Kristina is originally from Rhode Island and is excited to experience all that Raleigh has to offer. She will be supporting the Director of Audience & Fund Development as well as other staff members. In her spare time she enjoys boating, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.
