Media Day with Van Hughes

Posted: February 02 2012

In addition to being a stand-out performer in American Idiot, Van Hughes is such a nice guy AND a trooper - he got up early after opening night to talk with some local TV and radio outlets about his role as Johnny, the show and some other tid bits.

We started off the morning at WRAL, where he chatted with morning anchor, Kelcey Carlson, about the show. Here is the interview

Then, we went to hang out with Dave Kent from 93.9 KISS FM to talk some more about his role and what working with Billie Joe Armstrong was like on Broadway. The interview should be posted on his blog sometime today in case you missed it.

Our final stop of the morning was at the theatre - Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. First, Van spoke with Sharon DeLaney of My Carolina Today and discussed all things American Idiot, of course.

Erica Bustamante of NBC-17 also came by to chat with Van. The full interview and her review of American Idiot is here.

For all of our articles and reviews of the show, please refer to our press page.

Thanks, Van, for hanging out with us and helping us promote American Idiot! Show runs tonight through Sunday.
