Camp Conservatory
June 18-22 | 9:00AM to 4:00PM
(Ages 9-12)
NC Theatre Conservatory's ultimate musical theatre camp! Camp Conservatory is a one week intensive musical theatre camp with instruction in dance, acting and voice. Students will recreate musical numbers from some of Broadway's greatest hits culminating in a performance at the end of the camp for family and friends!

Summer Theatre Arts School Classes
June 25-29 | 9:00AM to 12:00PM
Broadway Sings! (Ages 7-11)
Sing Broadway Hits! Students will learn to sing the hits of Broadway in a group voice environment. Emphasis on vocal training and song preparation for audition and performance!
Teacher: Julie Bradley
Jazz Intensive (Ages 12+)
This three hour class will review principles of Jazz dance with an emphasis on technique, isolations, flexibility and memorization skills. The course will cover various types of turns, jumps and combinations geared to challenge each individuals' level and potential.
Teacher: Tito Hernandez
The Play's the Thing (Ages 12+)
In this class, students will learn how to write a play by building a brief play or scene and natural dialogue through the basics of story telling. They will work in groups to write and perform scenes which will be the class play.

June 25-29 | 1:00PM to 4:00PM
Jazz Intensive! (Ages 7-11)
Learn Broadway-style choreography from your favorite musicals. This course will include warm-ups, flexibility and balance training, across the floor combinations, center floor work and dance vocabulary.

Movie Making Mania! (Ages 7-11)
Students write, direct, act and create their own movie. A showcase featuring the class productions will be presented at the end of the week. Popcorn provided!
Teacher: Estes Tarver
Improv! (Ages 12+)
An acting class without scripts or prewritten scenes. Students will learn improv games and perform improvised scenes, which will focus on character work, listening, scene structure, all of which can be utilized in scripted material.
Teacher: Lisa Jolley
STAS Class Fee: $200 per class.
