Advanced COLLEGE PREPARaTORY Conservatory

Overview:
An advanced musical theatre program available for selected students entering 8th grade*. The program will ensure that students who participate are prepared for entrance into the top BFA theatre programs in the country. Upon completion of program, students will receive a certificate of completion and will perform in a showcase of individual work that highlights their talents. This performance will be viewed by representatives from BFA theatre and musical theatre programs with national reputations. The students will receive feedback from these professionals around the time of the beginning of their junior year*. The goal is that the feedback from the industry professionals will guide them to completion of classes and training in their junior year and therefore help them with acceptance into the musical theatre program of their choice in the fall/winter of their senior year.

*Students who enter the program at an alternate time (later than 8th grade) may still participate in the feedback session, i.e. students who are juniors may still receive feedback for their participation, assisting them with their auditions for schools in the fall and spring of their senior year. Participant acceptance will be made on an individual basis.
